The Smoky Mountain Chapter of the Southern Cruisers Riding Club
is for everyone who enjoys riding with a club
Our purpose is to enjoy our motorcycles with our friends.

We respect each member and expect the same in return.
We are dedicated to the safety of the group while on rides and ride in standard staggered formation.
We want to make sure you leave every ride
the way you came to the ride...in 1 piece.

Southern Cruisers Riding Club....... is just that: a riding club.

SCRC has been around since about 1998. The club was started by Rick Perry out of Memphis, TN
because he was looking for some fellow riders.
You can probably understand the basis of the name.
The club was born in the south and, to Rick's surprise, has grown to 43 states, 7 countries and more than 30,000 members.
Not bad for a club with no dues.

Being a member of such a large club does have it's benefits.

The mission of this club is to ride.
The mission of Chapter 512 is one in the same: to ride.
We stand by the original goals of this riding club: riding.
This is a riding club that welcomes licensed riders of all levels of skill and owners of virtually all makes and models.

We just want to ride for the thrill of riding.
Most of our trips will be local, within a couple of hundred miles.
So whether you ride a Beemer, Harley, Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Yamaha, or any other road bike, you will always be welcome.

We are not a MC or 1% club.
We welcome riders of all makes of motorcycles and offer a no dues,
no commitment environment.
Make the rides you want to make, make the meetings when you can.

We RIDE SAFE and HAVE FUN

Welcome New Riders!

If you recently bought your bike, and you are looking for someone to ride with, come on out. We know how it is. You have your new bike, and you have your new license, but where should you ride? We'll show you some great rides! We welcome new riders, as all of us were new to the motorcycle world at one time. We will help you feel comfortable riding in a group and help you with the do's and don'ts. We have members that have been riding a lifetime that will make you feel comfortable and confident to get the most out of your motorcycle. There is no shame in having to learn new things, as long as you are willing to learn and enjoy yourself doing it.

Welcome Experienced Riders!

If you have been riding your whole life, come on out. This Chapter loves to swap stories of the open road and talk of bikes in general. Whatever you ride, be it a V-twin, sport tourer or even vintage classics, all bikes are welcome. If you are a member of a club that does a whole lot of poker runs and charity rides, we can be your second club that just rides. Our calendar has very few "pay to rides". You know those "pay to rides". You show up, hand over your hard-earned cash, and then proceed to ride a cookie cutter route in the name of a charity. Charity is a good thing, but you didn't buy that bike so you could pay people to draw you a map every weekend, did you?

We don't ask much!

We ask one thing of our fellow members: to at least participate at a minimal level. You can find the guidelines of this in the clubs constitution . It boils down to this: participate or contribute every now and then and you remain a valid member. We have members that ride virtually every weekend and we have members that we may see a few times a year. They all participate in their own way.
